Novels for Young Readers
The Dragons of Zimzor

Zimzor is packed with challenge, danger and conflict as two unlikely young heroes overcome generations of hatred as enemies and unite their people and the amazing, powerful dragons to save the beleaguered people of the forest from certain destruction.
Eli is chosen to be the newest apprentice dragon-keeper from the peaceful town of Zimley. Life seems perfect for Eli as he learns the many tasks required of him in the dragon colony. Before long, Eli finds himself training in the dragon nursery and attends the hatching of a very special baby dragon.
Meanwhile, Kane lives a perilous life deep within the forests of Jolara, the land across the sea from Zimley. Kane’s right to leadership is challenged and his small family driven away; deeper into the forest. As he leads his family toward safety, an unimaginable danger attacks the hunters behind him. Kane witnesses a scene that is nothing short of a myth come to life. If the beast is true, then could the legendary dragons also be true? Kane risks his life to find out and seek help to save his family and his people from certain destruction.
With determination and bravery, Kane eventually meets Eli and explains his plight. Together the pair seeks out the dragon king to petition for the dragons to aid the Jolaran people.
Woven throughout, Biblical truths point readers to the Creator God, the beauty of His creation and value of each individual. Readers will be challenged as characters face opportunities to choose between right and wrong, the truth and a lie, and the choice to stand up for what is right.

Pegasus Found

Pegasus Found follows the adventures of Logan, a savvy ranch teen, who discovers the secret breeding ground and research facility of Dr. Aiden Iredale, a reclusive scientist working secretly in the field of recombinant DNA, trying to create the world's first Pegasus, a true flying horse. When Logan and his sister first meet Pegasus, they are enthralled by Iredale's amazing success, until they discover the cost of his research shrouded within the "Forbidden Barn." Follow the adventure as Logan and his family lead Iredale to faith in Christ, then help him confront the ethics, or lack of ethics, in his life's work as he presents the mighty Pegasus to the world. Will Iredale be hailed as a scientific genius or a monster creating horrific aberrations in the animal world?
Biblical truth is presented through the strong faith of the Hammond family, as well as the importance of standing up for one's beliefs despite potential consequences, a reality that Dr. Iredale comes to grip with after finding faith. In a world where ethics and bioethics are taught less and less to our young people, Pegasus Found will challenge readers to examine their own beliefs of right and wrong, and even to answer the question, "Just because we can do something, should we?"

About Mary Harrison Fine Art

About the Artist
Nature's Joyful Glory
Mary Harrison’s journey into the world of professional art has been a lifelong calling rooted in faith and perseverance. From childhood, she found joy in sketching everything around her, with art classes shining as the highlight of her school days. Though early discouragement kept her from pursuing art in college, her passion never faded.
Years later, while navigating life as a single parent and facing cancer for the second time, Mary felt God open the door for her to pursue a Master’s in Fine Arts—a turning point that led to a fifteen-year career teaching art. Those years deepened her love for both creating and inspiring creativity in others.
Now a full-time professional artist, Mary devotes her work to giving praise and glory to God, reflecting the beauty of His creation through her stunning oil paintings of wildlife, birds, butterflies, flowers, and sweeping landscapes. Her recent collections focus on the tender bonds between mothers and their young in nature—symbols of love, protection, and gentleness that echo divine design. Additionally, Mary is renowned for her heartfelt pet portraits that capture the unique spirit of beloved animals. A true believer in Albert Einstein's statement that "Creativity is intelligence having fun," she expresses, "When I am in my personal space of creating beauty, that is when I am the most happy, at peace, and filled with fun-loving joy!" Through seasons of challenge and grace, Mary has learned that every swish of inks, every drip and wash, every brushstroke, and every sparkle of powder can be an act of praise, inviting viewers to glimpse the fingerprints of God woven throughout creation.
Artist Statement
My art, showcased through Mary Harrison Fine Art, is a reflection of faith, beauty, and creation itself. What began as a child’s wonder, sketching the world on any scrap of paper, has grown into a lifelong calling to reflect the Creator’s hand in all things. Through seasons of challenge and grace, I’ve learned that every brushstroke can be an act of praise. Now, as I paint full-time, my heart is drawn to the tender rhythms of nature—the quiet strength of wildlife, the fragile bloom of flowers, and the gentle bond between mother and young. In these moments, I see reflections of divine love, protection, and peace. My oil paintings invite viewers to pause, to breathe, and to glimpse the fingerprints of God woven through the tapestry of creation. Additionally, my pet portraits capture the unique essence of our beloved companions, celebrating the joy they bring into our lives.

My Process
My creative process at Mary Harrison Fine Art is deeply personal and centered around the vision and desires of my clients, especially when bringing commissioned pieces to life. Whether I'm creating vibrant oil paintings of wildlife to brighten your home or capturing the spirit of your beloved furry companion in my pet portraits, my art is crafted to reflect your heart and your home. It is my joy to share “Nature’s Joyful Glory” with you—bringing beauty, warmth, and meaning to the spaces you love most.
